Council: kingborough council
Located in the Kingborough Municipality, Bruny Island is approximately 30 minutes south of Hobart. It is only accessible by the ferry from Kettering, with about 9 crossings per day. Many Hobartians have weekend and holiday homes on Bruny Island and there are numerous B&Bs, a camping area, some small shops and various tourist attractions.
