Situated 15 minutes drive south of Hobart CBD, this small township offers crafts and antiques, a variety of small shops including local produce, a small primary school, doctors surgery and an abundance of rural properties with some new building developments closer to Margate centre. Across the channel, one of the major attractions is Bruny Island with the ferry terminal only a few minutes drive further south.
